I continued knitting the "Hell Sweater", started the last skein & realized that there's DEFINITELY not enough yarn to finish this project. How do I feel about it?
In honor of Socktoberfest, here's a glimpse of the 2nd pair of Soctoberfest socks:
On behalf of the Red Scarf Project, I've finished two scarves. Actually they are not finished since I still have to weave in the ends and block them, but here's a sneak preview:
The yarn for DH's Christmas present arrived yesterday, so I swatched it and FOR THE FIRST TIME I even washed the swatch. This project is just too important & is going to have too much time involved for me not to. Also, I'd read from Brooklyn Tweed's blog that this particular KnitPicks yarn, although it says "superwash", shrinks. My swatch DID indeed shrink so I'm very thankful I did a true test swatch. Since I can't knit this project while DH is home (which isn't often), I'll be making a hat out of the leftover scarf yarn. Since that will only take an evening to make, I'm going to have to come up with some other projects. I may just have to make a decision about those felted clogs or slippers today!

Sorry about the sweater. Can you get another ball in the same dye-lot?
That's good to know about Swish. I *did not* wash my swatch when I knit Alden's sweater. I haven't washed the sweater yet since we're just now getting into sweater weather here, but now I know to hand wash it. It barely fits Alden now!
